Don't know why I take so long to write!

The Infant and Early Childhood Conference is quickly approaching again this year, and unfortunately I won't be able to be there this year!  But I do have a good excuse...

We will be having our 3rd child, a girl this time, at the end of  March!!!  We are very excited, but this does mean that I won't be attending IECC this year or be doing a whole lot of marketing for awhile.  I will still be ...

After an extremely busy May, I just wanted to say how much fun I had meeting so many new people at both the Just Between Friends sale and the Infant and Early Childhood Conference in Tacoma!  There was such a great response and so much encouragement!  I absolutely love what I do as I share about my boys and hear amazing stories from families who continue to live in the trenches!  One Mom's story about her severely disabled son and her typically developing daughter continues to ...

New Morning Routine

Posted by schedulesam on October 23, 2008 at 5:39 PM Comments comments (2)

My son, Sam, and I have been struggling with our morning routine since school started.  He has lots of trouble getting up (me too!) and staying on task in order to get to his 2nd grade class on time.  So I created a new "Morning Routine" velcro chart to help us both, so we don't start our days arguing and stressed!  It lists the activities he has to do in the "To Do / Done" format, like the "Getting Ready to Go" chart.  After he completes each ac...

Show and Tell

Yesterday was my son Sam's first day of school (teacher strike!).  His homework for today was to bring something to show everyone that represented what he did this summer.   I was pretty surprised to hear he wanted to bring his picture tags from his reward chart!  He can get pretty obsessive about the xbox, so we let him earn "superheroes" (tag w/ picture of a boy dressed as a superhero) in order to play.  He can earn them through helping us ou... Well, I've been wanting to write for quite awhile now, but haven't gotten a chance!  I had an absolute blast at the conference!  I SO enjoyed meeting all of you!  It was such an exciting atmosphere being around so many people who love kids and are actively investing in their lives!  I hope to get a couple conference pics up soon as well.  But... after many great new ideas from y'all  :-)  I've put a few new pr...

Welcome!

I'm so excited about the launch of Schedules And More!  It's incredible to look back and trace the journey!  Little did I know, way back when, as I struggled incredibly to create some sort of structure in our family's life, that it would lead here.  I'm really enjoying the privilege of working alongside families, sharing common experiences, and working towards positive change.  Thanks!    Read Full Post »
